Multi-shot storytelling
The Seedance 2.5 previews lean on sequences — a subject moving through connected shots from one prompt, rather than a single looping move.

BYTEDANCE'S NEWEST VIDEO MODEL
Seedance 2.5 is the next release in ByteDance's Seedance video line, previewed through summer 2026 with three themes: multi-shot storytelling from a single prompt, native audio carried over from the line's earlier releases, and announced 4K quality updates.
Access is opening in stages, which is why search is full of “is Seedance 2.5 out yet”. This page keeps the honest answer current, and gives you a working Seedance composer today: prepare a start image and motion prompt here, and Imya generates with Seedance 2.0 — the same model line, live in the workspace — until Seedance 2.5 API access opens.
The Seedance 2.5 previews lean on sequences — a subject moving through connected shots from one prompt, rather than a single looping move.
Launch coverage pairs Seedance 2.5 with 4K-grade quality updates. Final tiers are confirmed at release; today the line tops out at 1080p on Imya.
Seedance 2.0 is live on Imya with native audio and 4–15 second clips — the closest working preview of what Seedance 2.5 upgrades.
RELEASE DATE & AVAILABILITY
The questions people actually search — is Seedance 2.5 out, when is it coming, where can I use it — answered as of now, without hype.
ByteDance previewed Seedance 2.5 through summer 2026 and access is opening in stages rather than one global launch day. Exact dates per platform have not been fixed publicly.
Short answer: announced, rolling out — not yet everywhere.
The composer above defaults to Seedance 2.0: native audio, 4–15 seconds, up to 1080p, real generations today. Your prompt and start image carry straight over to Seedance 2.5.
Try: a 5-second 720p draft to lock the motion first.
Search interest clusters around Dreamina, Higgsfield and BytePlus as the named routes in rollout coverage. Availability and pricing there change quickly — verify on the platform itself.
Rule of thumb: trust the platform’s own model list, not screenshots.
Seedance 2.5 API interest centers on per-second video pricing through BytePlus-style endpoints. Imya publishes its own Seedance 2.5 pricing the day the model goes live here.

THREE PRACTICAL WORKFLOWS
Each workflow generates now on the Seedance line and inherits the Seedance 2.5 upgrades — longer stories, crisper frames — without changing your process.
Example starting imageSeedance native audio makes portrait clips feel finished: one sharp portrait, one action, one line of ambience. Draft at 720p, keep the face constraint explicit, and scale up only when the motion reads.
“She brushes hair from her face and smiles; golden-hour light flickers through leaves, camera pushes in slowly, soft park ambience, no cuts.”
Example starting imageThe Seedance line holds labels and edges steady, which is what short product ads need. One lighting event plus one restrained camera move outperforms busy direction every time.
“Condensation beads on the bottle as warm light sweeps left to right; the camera makes a slow half-orbit, label readable, background still.”
Example starting imageThis is the Seedance 2.5 headline: connected shots from one prompt. Practice the structure now — name two or three beats in order — and the same prompt gets stronger on 2.5.
“She opens the door and steps into rain; cut to street level as the umbrella blooms; city lights blur behind her, steady tracking, melancholy ambience.”
SEEDANCE SHOT LIBRARY
Reference frames for the shot types the Seedance line handles well today, and the upgrades Seedance 2.5 is announced to bring. Each is a starting frame, not a guaranteed output.

The announced jump is multi-shot storytelling from one prompt plus 4K-grade quality updates, on top of the native audio the line already ships. Seedance 2.0 remains the live baseline you can generate with on this page today.

SEEDANCE 2.5 PROMPTS
Seedance rewards structure. Write what happens in order — the same four-part shape works on Seedance 2.0 today and scales to Seedance 2.5 multi-shot sequences.
Subject action + scene beat + camera move + pacing and sound
One visible, scaled action per beat: opens the door, lifts the glass, turns away. Verbs give the model geometry to animate.
For multi-shot ambitions, name the next moment explicitly: “cut to street level”, “then the lights dim”. One beat per clause, in order.
One move per beat — push, track, orbit or locked. Seedance follows restrained direction better than stacked cinematography words.
Close with pace and audio: real-time, no cuts, soft ambience, one line of dialogue. Seedance-line models render native audio, so the sound line is not wasted.
Complete prompt example
“The dancer rises from the warehouse floor and spins once; dust drifts through window light. Cut to a low angle as she lands, coat flaring; slow push-in, real time, warm room tone under faint street noise.”
Two ordered beats, one action and one camera idea each, explicit pacing and a layered sound line — the structure Seedance 2.5 multi-shot generation is built to reward.
HOW IT WORKS
Start from text, animate a first frame with an optional last frame, or combine reference images, video and audio.
Write the scene, add any reference media, then choose duration, resolution, framing and audio. The live credit quote updates before submission.
Sign in if needed, confirm the displayed Seedance 2.0 cost and submit once. Progress and the finished video appear beside the controls.
REAL LIMITS, CREDITS & FREE USE

FIX THE DRAFT
These fixes apply to Seedance 2.0 today and will apply unchanged to Seedance 2.5 — the model gets stronger, the discipline stays the same.
Beats are buried in one long sentence, or three beats are crammed into a five-second clip.
One clause per beat, in order, and give the clip enough seconds — two beats need 8–10 s, not 4.
A soft source image, or a prompt that demands a large reveal of unseen angles.
Sharper start image, smaller action, and an explicit constraint: keep the face stable, keep the label readable.
No sound direction was given, so the model invents ambience on its own.
Add one deliberate sound line — “soft rain on glass, no music” — and keep it consistent with the scene.
Consecutive beats describe incompatible spaces or lighting, forcing a hard transition.
Keep beats in one location and light, or name the transition explicitly: “cut to street level, same rain”.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Seedance 2.5 was previewed by ByteDance through summer 2026 and access is opening in stages. It is not yet live everywhere; this page updates and switches its composer default the day it lands on Imya.
ByteDance has run a staged rollout rather than one launch day, and platform-by-platform dates have not been fixed publicly. Treat any exact date you see as unconfirmed until a platform lists the model.
Rollout coverage names routes like Dreamina, Higgsfield and the BytePlus API, with availability changing quickly. On Imya, this page runs the Seedance workflow today on Seedance 2.0 and switches to 2.5 when API access opens.
Preparing inputs here is free, and new Imya accounts receive 20 credits. Those credits do not cover the current minimum Seedance 2.0 generation; the complete live quote is displayed before submission.
The announced upgrades are multi-shot storytelling from one prompt and 4K-grade quality updates, on top of the native audio the line already has. Seedance 2.0 remains the live baseline you can generate with now.
ByteDance paired the Seedance 2.5 announcement with 4K updates. Final output tiers are confirmed at release; on Imya the Seedance line currently tops out at 1080p.
No open-source release has been announced, and there is no supported local install. Search results suggesting local Seedance 2.5 builds do not come from ByteDance.
Developer interest centers on per-second pricing through BytePlus-style endpoints, but numbers are not final. Imya publishes its own credit pricing for Seedance 2.5 the day the model goes live here.
The line already follows directed camera language — push, track, orbit — and the 2.5 previews emphasize shot-to-shot control. Dedicated 3D camera parameters have not been confirmed.
Imya applies its content policy to every generation regardless of model: no sexual content involving minors, no non-consensual intimate imagery, no deceptive impersonation. Prompts that violate policy are refused.
