What is an AI photo to video generator?
An AI photo to video generator turns a still image into a short motion concept — a slow camera push, a product spin, an animated portrait, or a cinematic scene. Imya's AI Video Generator is currently a free beta preview: you can upload a photo, write a prompt, choose the type of motion you want, and prepare a video brief before rendering goes live.
Why use Imya's AI video beta?
Photo-first workflow
Built for creators who already have portraits, product shots, travel photos, or AI-generated images they want to bring into motion.
Honest beta preview
Frame previews are clearly labeled. Imya does not pretend still images are finished videos or claim rendering that does not exist yet.
Prompt planner for better motion
Turn vague ideas into structured image-to-video prompts with camera movement, subject action, lighting, and style cues.
Made for the way you share
Plan clips for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, ads, and storyboards with common 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 aspect ratios.
Ready for model routing later
The page is architected to support real video models the moment our backend integration lands — your saved prompts come with you.
How to use the AI video beta in 3 steps
From an existing photo or a fresh prompt to a beta-ready brief — usually under two minutes.
01Upload a photo or start with a prompt
Choose an image you want to animate, or describe a new video scene from scratch. Either path opens the same prompt planner.
02Describe the motion
Pick a motion style, camera direction, aspect ratio, and clip duration. Add details like lighting, emotion, or scene type to make the brief specific.
03Join the beta to render
Preview your video brief, copy the prompt, and join the free beta list. When rendering opens, the same workflow ships an MP4.
What can you use an AI video generator for?

Social hooks for TikTok, Reels, Shorts
Plan vertical-format AI video clips before you film — turn a single photo into a thumb-stopping opener.

Product ad concepts
Animate a single product photo into a cinematic spin, push-in, or hover for ad creative iteration.

Photo memories & portrait animation
Bring an old family photograph into a subtle living moment — a blink, a smile, hair lifting in soft wind.

AI music video moodboards
Sketch lyric-driven scenes and silhouette-on-stage frames for indie musicians and music creators.

Anime & character motion
Plan stylized 2D character motion in a cel-shaded frame — anime walks, cherry-blossom fall, golden-hour glow.

Filmmaker pre-viz & storyboards
Storyboard a scene before you go to set — block the camera move, lighting, and subject action visually first.
More AI video generator frame previews

Built transparently for the video beta
We refuse to fake reviews, fake star ratings, or fake video samples while the rendering pipeline is still being built. Here is exactly where the AI video generator stands today.
0 fake video samples
Every still on this page is labeled as a frame preview. No misleading sample MP4s until rendering is real.
Photo-to-video first
The first live workflow will animate an existing image. Text-to-video and longer clips ship as model partners come online.
Real samples coming next
Hosted MP4 examples and VideoObject schema will be added the moment rendering launches publicly.
Frequently asked questions about the AI Video Generator
Honest answers about what is shipped, what is planned, and what the beta does and does not do.
Is Imya's AI video generator live yet?
Not for rendering — it is currently a free beta preview. You can plan image-to-video and text-to-video briefs, save your prompt, and join the waitlist. Real video rendering opens when the backend video pipeline is integrated.
Is the AI photo to video generator free?
Yes — the beta planner and the waitlist are completely free, with no card required. Future rendering credits and pricing will be announced when the rendering pipeline goes live.
Can I turn a photo into a video right now?
The workflow is designed for photo-to-video and you can plan it end-to-end today, but the final render step is in beta. Drop your image, describe the motion, and we will email you the moment rendering opens.
Can I generate an AI video from text only?
Yes — the planner supports text-to-video prompts in the same panel as image-to-video. Photo-to-video remains the primary focus because uploaded images give you more control over subject identity.
Which AI video models will Imya support?
We are evaluating multiple video model integrations and will name the partner the moment the API is wired. We will not list Veo, Sora, or Kling as supported until they actually are.
How long will AI-generated videos be?
Planned short-clip options include 4, 6, and 8 seconds for the first rendering release. Longer clips depend on the model partner's context window and pricing.
Will the AI videos have a watermark?
Watermark policy will be confirmed when the rendering backend opens. We will not promise no watermark before the constraint is known.
Can I use AI-generated videos commercially?
Commercial usage will depend on the upstream model provider's terms and Imya's final license policy. We will publish the exact terms before rendering opens.
Do I need to sign up to use the planner?
No — the prompt planner is fully usable without an account. Joining the beta list does require an email so we can notify you when rendering opens. No card required at any step.
How does Imya's AI video generator compare to Runway, Sora, CapCut, or Canva?
Runway and Sora ship finished AI video rendering today and charge for it. Canva and CapCut wrap a single mid-tier video model with a heavy editor. Imya is currently positioned as a transparent photo-to-video beta — you get a structured planner now, real rendering when the model integration lands. We will not pretend otherwise.
